After a quick sack lunch, several members of the FBC Outreach Team, including some guest participants met immediatly after the Service on Sunday, February 14th to hand 250 “Free Carnations” to motorists at the corner of Louetta and Ella Blvd.

To start the event we were led in a short prayer by Dennis and then formed an assembly line to attach invitations for our upcoming Community Fun Day to the flowers.  Everyone then walked Ella Blvd to the corner of Louetta where we were blessed with beautiful sunshine and pleasant temperatures as we cheerfully distributed the red flowers.  Our intent to show the love of Christ was met by many enthusiastic and encouraging believers. Each flower was bathed with prayer and presented with a “Gospel of John.”

Participating Team Members, including guests were:Pastor Daniel McCabe, Dennis & Wannetta, Russ, Martha, Oscar, Salama and Margrette .

Our aim, with each outreach event, is to impact our surrounding community by showing God’s love in a practical way, with the goal of “bumping each person a little closer to Christ” and His wonderful saving grace.  Join us for our next Brown Bag “working meeting” in March when we prepare for our Community Fun Day which will be from 10 AM to Noon on Saturday, April 3rd.  Watch  the church bulletin and monthly newsletter for more details.
